About Fitway

Family owned since 1981

FitWay Fitness is a family owned business which was established by Luis Moreno in 1981, on Long Island, New York. Luis grew up in the bodybuilder legends era, knowing some of the biggest names of the day, eg: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, and Franco Columbu. He developed relationships with many professional athletes including Lyle Alzado (NFL Defensive End), who he trained with for many years. Luis started the business in the basement of his house, and he says that his children would come downstairs to visit with some of the clients, and even workout with them. Their futures were being molded at a very early age. Of the six siblings, three of them went on to become personal trainers. Luis retired and moved to SC in 2009. Shortly after “retiring”, he started training a handful of clients in his home gym. Luis says he’s extremely grateful and likes to pay it forward, especially at this part of his life. He doesn’t charge his clients, and they’re all special needs. He plans to continue training people in his community for as long as they need his help.
