False Information
Be careful who you take advice from..
There's a vast amount of health & fitness information available
on the internet today. However, finding a reliable source of
factual information can be tricky. It's hard to decipher which
information is true and which is false, when everyone is
claiming to be an expert. Social media is notorious for
spreading false information, and it usually spreads fast.
Rick (self proclaimed fitness expert) sends Becky a fitness
meme (which is incorrect). Becky admires Rick, so she
immediately believes his meme to be true. She then sends the
meme to all of her friends, explaining how it's the best thing
since sliced bread because Rick said so. In a matter of a few
minutes, a dozen or so people now believe a completely false
fitness fact.
The moral of the story is.. never accept health & fitness advice
as factual, without confirming the source of the information
first.
